LASER WELDING

Laser welding (Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation) is a fusion welding process in which metals or thermoplastics are joined using a focused laser beam. It is the most advanced welding process and has applications in various sectors from aerospace equipment.
Laser welding is versatile and can be used in conjunction with arc welding to create hybrid laser arc welding. The resulting weld has the advantages of both laser welding and arc welding. The weld also features deep penetration joints and improved joint fit tolerance. Furthermore, undesirable effects such as internal porosity and cracking are reduced.
